Kontinuum I - III
In my Kontinuum series I worked on the question, whether space can be defined only by colours or not. It might also be seen as reflection of our steadily moving society, wherein the subject has little time for contemplation. I tried to catch this moment of being withdrawn to onesself, the moment when we watch, without seeing. By this we realize the space that surrounds us vague only. Absorbed in thoughts, the eye is not focusing. The depth of space can't be captured by objects, they mergence to colour spaces.
Lisa Ajtays large scaled photographs with over 3m length show reflections about travelling and seeing. Her camera remains entirely the technically graphical apparat. Her Kontinuum works remain two-dimensional, graphically abstract.
Lisa Ajtay's pictures show lyrically moments of perception, travelling and being, which reveal deep existencial moments.
